JMB Companies, Inc. is excited to announce that Bull Island Mitigation Bank, located in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana, now has wetland offset credits available for purchase.
The 378.5 acre Bull Island Mitigation Bank can provide compensation for impacts to Coastal and Non-coastal Bottomland Hardwoods, Coastal Cypress Swamp, and Coastal Tidal Fresh Marsh habitats in the Mermentau drainage basin (HUC:08080201 and HUC:08080202) and the Chenier Plain of the LDNR Coastal Zone.
Upon approval, Bull Island Mitigation Bank received the 20 percent administrative credit release from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and can now offer
- 44.1 credits of Bottomland Hardwood - LDNR
- 4 credits of Bottomland Hardwood
- 44.6 credits of Cypress/Tupelo Gum Swamp - LDNR
- 18.8 credits of Fresh Marsh—Tidal - LDNR
With the opening of Bull Island Mitigation Bank, JMB now has seven operating wetland mitigation banks to service our clients offset needs in the New Orleans Corps District.
