Doug Burguières, a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, LA, is currently the Assistant Director of Planning and Development for the City of Lake Charles, where he administers and manages all land use aspects for the city including permitting for all residential and commercial construction projects. He is responsible for flood plain management, the hazard mitigation grant program, capital infrastructure projects and collaborations with other governmental agencies. Mr. Burguières has also developed local ordinances and the master land-use plan for the City of Lake Charles He received a B.A. degree from McNeese State University. Mr. Burguières was elected to The J. M. Burguières Co., Limited Board of Directors in 2009.
